Everyone who has an email account would have at some point received emails that either resemble some of the world's most recognized companies to just simple one line letters with a link or an attachment. Cyber criminals send billions of these types of emails each day with the intention of enticing an unsuspecting person to innocently part with their valuable information. In 2013, it was reported that around 100 billion emails were sent out every single day! This really goes to show the lengths that these criminals will go to, just to catch at least a small handful of people who have taken the bait.
One way of preventing yourself from accidentally clicking on their links is to view your inbox in "Preview Mode". This way, you will see a snippet of the junk mail, which you can then delete without further ado. Check with your email service provider regarding this method.
You can be rest assured that we at LQBagz will never email you to ask you for the following:
- Your username and/or password.
- Payment details (bank/debit/card account number).
- Other personal information that may not have been submitted to us by yourself.
- Send you any attachments, unless this would have been previously arranged via a digital purchase or request.
